Live In Ireland (1984 )

A concert recordings made at the Sojourner’s Blues Festival in Ennis, Ireland August 17, 1984 by the power trio Red Rabbit. These recordings are the earliest known recording of the band before coming to the US just a year later. The tracks feature extended instrumentals relying heavily on the explosive cadences of Steve Raymond’s and Randy Bryant’s bass and drums, with minimal punctuation from J.A. Purvis’ lead guitar. (Fans of the band may recall that Purvis was recovering at the time from a bout of severe dyspepsia after eating a great deal of bad black pudding.)

  Live In Ireland (2013 )

Red Rabbit returned to Ireland in 2013-14 with an All-Star line up that included, at various times, Phil Jacoby, Dolores Timmerman, Carol Plough, Carrie Giger, Dennis Sturdevant.  The tour was mysteriously cancelled!  And, because of contractual obligations with VH1 Behind The Music Inc., who was filming this tour for a future broadcast, the reasons for the cancelation cannot be disclosed, at least until the pending litigation is resolved.
